It's probably of negligible value since I got it in a "lot" of ratty indian heads and gaming pieces, but It would be nice to know it's origin and history.

I know zippity about this kind of coinage, other than how cob coins were made.

This is roughly the size of a dime, maybe a tad smaller...say 17mm avg.
