London Borneo Tobacco Company:
LaWe 711, 1 dollar brass, 30,5 mm. (RRR).
LaWe 712, 1 dollar brass, 31 mm. (RR).
LaWe 712 variant, 1 dollar brass, 31 mm. (RR). Backside of this token has a inscription with a letter and nummerals. This kind of inscriptions are also know from the TEnom Rubber plantations, but from the London Borneo Tobacco is this the olny token I know like this.

These tokens are fascinating and I think I have something like it in my collection. Can anyone provide more information on what these are and what they were used for? Thanks.

If you place some pictures of the tokens you think it might be plantation tokens, I can look for you in the catalogue for more information.

Look for Lansen - Wells, a couple Dutch guys wrote this stuff up professionally. Actually one of them sold some of his gear at Baldwin's this year.

A couple sales with a bunch of SEA tokens, Interesting stuff. Do not buy in Jakarta though, unless you know what you are going. Plenty fakes around, identical, but thin...
