Hi received an email from RAM this morning saying that they are ending that "Collection by Selection program" on the 30th of Nov.
Who cares as I am not spending $1000-$2000 on coins.

But was wondering with there overpriced program...

What coins was the "special offer coin" that you could buy if you spent $1000 you could pay $100 for a 1000 mintage coin,

And if you spent $2000 you could buy a $200 coin with a mintage of 500.

According to the terms and conditions it says:

"Limited mintage coin will feature a new coin design exclusive to this program and will not be available for retail or wholesale from the Royal Australian Mint."

It has a delivery date of August 2012 so presumably hasn't been minted yet.

That almost seems like blackmail to me. In order to get this coin you need to spend over $1,000 and then you still need to buy the coin itself.

They are there to look after the dealers, not the public
