I'll say 940.
My grandfather started me collecting as a kid when he gave me a small collection that he had kicking around and an old Krause catalog.

930 for my guess... my dad introduced me into coin collecting.i fondly remember seeing the kitchen table ,at times, virtually buried underneath piles of coins. that piqued my interest from childhood, and from time to time, I relive those memories ; by " burying tables" myself.

Put me down for 963. My first purchased coin was a 1966 Aust. 50 cent. I bought it to fill out a set I started to put together from change in 2002. Been hooked ever since and am now trying to complete date sets of all Aust. decimal CLT coins in UNC (long way to go) regards,

Hmmmmmm, 942 sounds as good as any I reckon. As for getting me started I guess the credit goes to my father and my kids. My Dad died back in 97 and I got his coins although all I did with them at the time was bury them in a dresser drawer. About a year and a half ago I was rummaging around that drawer looking for something and my kids spotted the coins and started asking questions. I didn't know all the answers so I got curious myself and started poking around to see what I could find out. Next thing I know I'm hooked. My first purchase was a 1995 ASE out of one of those sunday newspaper ads. It was about the time I was starting to get interested and that big hunk of silver really went a long way to getting me hooked. Thanks for the contest, it was interesting reading no matter who wins.

Ok, My guess is 937. Keep posting till you get there ...Thanks djluster, LOL. My Dad introduced my brother and I to coin collecting when I was very young. We would search thru his pocket change. The first coin I remember buying was a Morgan dollar...from a supermarket cash register at face value. Ah, those were the days. LOL

933 posts. Who influenced me into collecting was my older brothers friend. He gave me all of his doubles of Wheat Back's. And the first coin that I bought is a 1958 proof Lincoln Cent when I was 8 years old Tim

941 posts I inherited some coins and while doing some research I fell in love with those beautiful Morgan dollars. After I decided I wanted to keep some of the coins I was at a coin shop and bought 7 Morgans. Well now I cant go to the coin shop unless my wife knows how much money I bring with me. I also have started a 7070.
