I'm talking about coins like wheat cents, Buffalo nickels, silver coins, Indian Head cents and coins like these. We all know that your going to find bad ones in the roll you buy. My question is this. "What percentage of the roll would have to be bad before you sent the roll back to the seller..?" catman Report this Post to the Staff

Speedy Valued Member United States 307 Posts	Posted 05/10/2005 07:26 am All of them---If I buy a roll and there are some that are cleaned, (holded...finger printed...etc..etc) I put them in a box of "Problem" coins to resell...when I do, I buy a better coin with what I get out of them. Now Wheats...If I find some 1943 cents that are rusty, I would just keep them and spend them or sell them again and tell the buyer about them. Speedy Report this Post to the Staff

If the seller is advertising all "good" or better, they will all have to meet that criteria and price. If average circulated, all must meet the "AG" grades. Small rim bumps or scratches will be overlooked if the majority of the coins match the low expectation. For an average circualted roll, 90% must meet the "AG" grade for average.
