Ok thats a unique pattern !! wonder if I can duplicate it with my coffee ?

Looks like it got rained on and then allowed to evaporate.

This came out of a bag of 1972 cents, one other coin is similar but the rest still in mint state.

coming from a mint bag ? if that is the case then it would be the mint wash which caused the stains or slightly there after while being processed and bagged it was damaged.

Its an interesting coin but I doubt it will command any premium as it is staining and will be considered damage.

that pattern might be caused from a light oil as well I would guess
