Just called two coin shops that I deal with trying to sell some rolls of cents. One shop was paying Two Cents each for Wheaties and the other shop was paying two and a Half Cents each and selling them for four cents each. These prices are for 1940's and 1950's circulated. I have a bunch of Unc. rolls of the LP1,3,4 and neither shop wanted those ,looks like I have to go to Craigslist John1
The problem on both sides of the equation is the tiny value of each unit. Shipping can kill the deal (before flat rate priority boxes, I bought a bag of IKEs for $1100, and it cost the seller $70 to ship them), or storage.
Regarding the original post, what do you expect to get for a product that retails for 4¢? I don't know what quantity you're talking about, but if the dealer has a standing order for all he can get, that's still only a $30 profit on 2000.
