The coin appears ancient, but I can't put my finger on where it's from. I know it's not Roman or Greek.

I wonder if it could be a so-called "barbarian" coin? These were made in imitation of Roman coins, with garbled inscriptions, and passed as the real thing in outlying or adjacent provinces to the Roman Empire.

I don't know how would you find out? I know it weighs 2.7 grams if that helps anything. I sure do appreciate everyones help.
