I have this coin and it has a small amount of tarnish on it. I have checked ebay and also found that this particular coin has tarnish on some of them as well.
I am thinking that the tarnish is a result of the plastic foam that the coin is inserted into. I plan on removing it from such and putting it in an inert plastic holder.
Do any of you that also have this coin, found that it is starting to tarnish? Is the tarnish as a result of the packaging or for some other reason?
I am not going to clean it, as long as the tarnish does not get worse, I see no problem with keeping it the condition that I bought it for.
What are your recommendations?

Hi, what coin are you talking about?
Australia doesn't make $3 coins. This has been moved to the wrong forum
Do you mean Canada, or Tuvalu coins?

Thank you for pointing that out - yes I am referring to a Canadian coin - the 2006 Square $3
The leaders of the forum moved my question into this slot. An error on their part, no big deal.
