I saw a package of SL Halfs on ebay that almost exactly matched my worst SL Halfs and let me upgrade some (certainly not MS/AU examples, but...) Thoughts? Worth it?

Nice upgrades! I say they replace your old examples very nicely.
I really love the arrows and rays design. I say they should have stuck with it, but then it would have been the norm and not stood out in the crowd...

That's a tough and expensive series to collect by date/mm.
Most of those are significant upgrades.
I personally am not too fond of incremental upgrades.
I like to plan to keep either the first specimen I obtain, or the second.
Good luck finding retirement homes for your worn and forlorn castoffs.
