I would presume sellout, the GSM-Ps are following the sales pattern of the BBHOF gold and silver that the Mint is taking more orders over the allocated mintage. On the upside they aren't left holding a ton of leftovers that no one wants. The downside of course, once the cancelations start rolling in to those late customers, most of them will be mad as heck and fore swear buying from the Mint ever again. It's a really bad public relations disaster in the making particularly with the bulk of the BBHOF coins still to be shipped and accounted for. It's a no-win situation for the Mint, but as a government entity that literally makes money hand over fist, I don't feel at all sorry for the position they find themselves in.

So did they sell out at 25K or 25,421?

I don't know. I just checked the for sale section and it was listed as soldout. I completely forgot seeing the number sold as being over the 25,000

It is the 25,421 as of the 18th. 20,120 for Shenandoah.

I doubt they'll mint more than the 25,000 max on GSM-P, so there will be cancelations when they can't fulfill anymore orders. SHD-P has been on hold for over a week now, I suspect they were caught unawares again by the 20,120 sales by Sunday. They only have one vapor blaster and it is pretty slow compared to stamping out the coins on the press. You can see the vapor blaster in the last room of the self guided tour at the Philly Mint. SHD-P is 30,000, which looks like it might get to the max also.

I would think so as well, but how can they place a greater number on their own site than what was produced? Has anyone received a shipment email for Shenandoah yet? They don't seem to have a future shipping date like Smokey Mt. did.

I like the 5 oz coins, but I am not paying the mint 50.00 over spot for one of them..
I wonder if they will have bullion versions this year?

Bullion versions are available but not from the mint. You should subscribe since there is a 10% discount on these coins.

@stampvirgin: You can buy the 2014 ATB bullion versions from a venerable AP like APMEX or from Provident Metals for under $120 each as of today. Both firms are consistently reliable and deliver excellent service. The quality of their 2014 ATB bullion has been outstanding. Incidentally, $50 over metal content is cheap compared to other world mints specialty 5oz offerings which are 4-5x the intrinsic metal content.

Does anyone think by raising the mintage of the new puck to 30K will cause less of a demand for this coin compared to the last puck? Shouldn't they have waited to see what a few pucks would do rather than base the raise of 5K on sales of one popular SM park puck? After subscriptions I get the feeling these pucks might drag for awhile.
