I think they will sell more than 25k so why not raise the mintage to 30k and make more profit. If it takes a few months to sell out then that's fine. Their goal is not a quick sellout but to sell coins.

Who knows. I think though with the discount subscriptions will really show who wants the coin for sure. I never did the subscription and previously purchased when I could afford and many other I think as well. With the discount some may have decided to just subscribe to benefit from the discount. These first 3 are really so quickly spaced. Hard to afford but the price is low (as compared to when first offered) and worth subscribing.

You can buy the 2014 ATB bullion versions from a venerable AP like APMEX or from Provident Metals for under $120 each as of today

I believe that Provident Metals no longer sells individual pucks, but they do still sell them by the monster box. I get mine from APMEX.

@barryg: We're both right. At the beginning of April, PM sent an email stating they weren't going to handle individual puck sales due to excessive returns of the terrible Mount Rushmore puck that was so hairlined straight out of the monster box. Poor Mint quality control, I suspect and they rushed these out the door to the APs since the entire 35,000 mintage sold out in a matter of two weeks at the most. Then after GSM bullion appeared, PM relented and started offering the individual pucks again. I dare say they got many very vocal complaints from loyal customers who can only afford one or a few pucks and not the $11,500 cost of a single monster box. So I buy one from APMEX and another from PM with lots of other bullion products thrown in for good measure.

Equate the bullion pucks with 5 ounce silver bars. Would you return a bar to the seller because it had die polish lines on it? They are meant to be a bullion product but they are treated as coins....

Exactly, people are assuming the pucks are coins, because of the changing reverses and the equivalent small sized quarter, when they really are stackable bullion in a 5oz. form. I kept my Mount Rushmore pucks for that exact reason and bought replacement ones I could see beforehand on e-Bay.

Mine shipped also...I never can figure out why the Mint pays extra for 2nd day air and always ships on a Thursday or Friday....delivery takes 4 days and now throw in the holiday and crank it to 5 days

I'm hoping to get mine today. I go on vacation on Monday, so if it doesn't come today, I will have to wait a couple of weeks before I get to see it. It shipped on Wednesday and I don't live too far from the distribution location, so fingers crossed it comes today.

Yep, looks good. Not my favorite design but nice all the same.

I received an email from the Mint yesterday saying there was a problem with my order. Called and got it straightened out but don't expect mine until next week. oh well...

Good thing you were able to fix the problem. You could have lost the discount if they just deleted the order.
