Glad you like it, Teach! The hardest part is getting consistency so all my pucks look similar in my online collection.

question for those collecting this series-
is there anyone else out there whos trying to pick up or looking for pucks they missed and havent been collecting these from the start?
If so, have prices dropped on some of the more lower mintage ones, such as El Yunque?
thanks for any info, I need one but am not sure whats a fair market price...

You can most of the past collector's (or "burnished") versions from online dealers such as APMEX: ATB 5 oz Silver Coins (Burnished w/Box & COA)They are not cheap, however! El Yunque, for example, is selling for $400 and the Hawaii collector's puck is around $800. Edited by barryg

yes I realize that Barry. What I have documented and recorded is yes prices went higher however most coins do take some hit as PM prices drop.
So I am not expecting to get them at their original list price nor "cheap". Rather, I was curious if anyone was keeping records or watch lists on these as I have documented time and again that as PM prices go down, all coins take some sort of reduction, some higher than others, some lower.
However, all coins come down in price as PM prices drop.
I guess I will start compiling my data for this coin, and comparing it with spot prices.
Pig Penny, I dont see whats funny. Do you not grasp the simple concept that prices drop on all coins as spot prices drop? Apparently you dont.

I gave you my answer.
I've been collecting the collector pucks for over 2 years now while also reading your posts for 2 years now and knew where you were going. Its like when Fox posts. What you should have said is why you believe that instead of trying to insult me but that's ok. You assumed I didn't have a clue to what you were talking about I guess?
I'll leave you be and let someone else tell you their thoughts/view on how bullion prices affect numismatic items since you're talking about the limited edition and in high demand low mintage collector pucks. Have a nice day and I hope you enjoy collecting the pucks as much as I do. Good luck.

You asked whether the prices have come down on the lower mintage pucks and I gave you data on two of them that have continued to rise despite the price of PM dropping sharply since they were minted. My my my my my..... well to prove my point I will compile my data on the pucks that have had a premium in the market because of their mintage and compare how much their prices rise in comparison against the spot price of silver. Now, who here is going to tell me that PM prices do not impact this series? I dont believe you unless you show me data for over a year and showing me prices from APMEX is not clear, as dealers are always over priced. Finally, wow such bitterness Barry... I can't help I am right about how prices work, I realize you bought monster boxes that have come down dramatically in price from where you bought but please dont blame me for that. |

There are 2 different types. The P version of Hawaii and Acadia were low mintage, thus, command the higher prices. Who would have thought that these would have been pulled by the mint so quickly. These were 2012 offerings. I think many may have dragged their feet thinking the Mint may keep the 2012 versions AFS as long as the 2011 P version. These 2 in particular had low mintage and for those looking to complete a set that didn't buy Well the law of supply and demand - spot has nothing to do with these 2. I think they both were 204.95 at issue.

Even then posters here have proven even that to be incorrect. ANY issue with mintage limits has the potential for a price increase as the availability disappears. There is a whole world of precious metal coins out there that could give a rat's butt about the spot prices of their metal content... A monster box of ASE's is a pure metal play.no mintage limits and minted in the 10's of millions...a nice collection of P Pucks, quality Morgan dollars, and MANY collectible coins are not..... Intrinsic vs. Numismatic value...check it out. You will be AMAZED |
