Good man, barryg! That special price didn't last long as they must have had a run on the presales today and raised the cost by 10% to $97.30, with silver spot having barely budged. I'll keep an eye on SD, JM and Provident for their listings for those of you who missed out. Although $97 is still cheap compared to what it might cost after release date. The first three this year sold out quicker than the coin before it. Finally this series is getting the love and respect it deserves. Those of us who were there at the beginning knew this time would come.

Surprisingly there's no other Bombay listings yet from either Gainsville, Provident, SD or JM Bullion. And it would happen that spot moved in the $15/oz. range. It's beginning to look like the sale was a placeholder typo. SD Bullion removed all but their 2010 ATB listings. :(

In the past, I have pre-ordered the pucks from APMEX only to see spot prices drop before the pucks actually ship out. So, it's nice to see the reverse for a change. Well, assuming spot prices don't plummet again in the next few weeks...

Usually spot will stabilized or move a little higher around this time (until Christmas), compare to summer months.... this seemed to be the case for the last few years.

The funny thing (well, not really funny) is that I almost always buy more silver coins toward the end of the year and sometime has to sell some silver coins in the summer month. What's WRONG with me?

For those of you that missed out on Bombay Hook bullion last week. Good news, Provident just listed theirs for presale. $96.88, $10 cheaper than APMEX right now. Only thing different is you have to supply your own Z5 Air-Tite capsule. Any order over $99 is free shipping.

Perfect.

Thanks Bizybackson. Just in time, since I need to order some capsule for my 2oz Privateers; so combining with Bombay Hook, I will save on shipping.
I already ordered a whole bunch of Z5 air-tite capsule so I don't have to worry (I am actually selling those Z5 on ebay to bring down my cost).

Now my question is should I buy the other 2015 Puck bullions too or wait for possible better price (I already bought the Blue Ridge -P puck from the mint, so I only need the other 2 + Bombay Hook).

@Bruce/SA4H:
The pricing on the other 2015 bullion is way out of line, between a markup of 70-100% premium over spot. It just so happens that the pucks have surged in popularity this year, but the first three mintages are between 35,000 and 44,000 sold by the mint, putting them in competition with the collector pucks, none of three have sold more than 20,000, and at rate they're selling maybe they won't go over that, making them current sleepers compared to the bullion, which IMO, are overpriced. Provident has them between $127-$140, APMEX, a staggering $144-$164, making the Mint's collector pucks @ $149.95 a steal by comparison. You choose, but I'd wait for better pricing on the (earlier 2015 non-Bombay Hook) bullion.

Better than $96.88? Looking at the prices for the prior pucks was what made me go for a tube of these.

The key to the bullion pucks is to get them early.

The current P puck is being sold at a $15/ounce premium to spot vs. the bullion $4.50 premium

Different beasts....

My apologies for not making that clear, but misunderstandings happen when only the last line of a previous post is read and responded to. I meant the premium for the first three '15 bullion pucks, NOT for the presale Bombay Hook, which is probably going to be the lowest it's ever going to be. Dotting the i's and crossing the T's (again) the Homestead, Kisachie & Blue Ridge bullion are going anywhere from $128-$164 depending on which AP you get them from. This pricing on mintages between 35,000 -- 44,000 bullion pucks. Compare that to the sub-20,000 collector-P burnished pucks @ $149.95. So yeah, you choose, which is the better deal for the money?

Funny...after I posted that I thought "He is probably referring to the earlier 2015's" but I never got back to edit my post.

Just an FYI...you are correct in that they can be had for less if you play the game of auction watching. Quite a few of the 2015's sold in the $110 range a few days ago but that's the lowest I've seen

My plan may be a blend of both approach: Get a few more Bombay Hook (any 'big bird' coins seemed to be well received) and get the -P pucks to complete the 2015 year.

I really like the Blue Ridge design and ordered the -P. It arrived yesterday, however the field on the reverse has those 'white spot', the after effect of the chemical wash. It will go back for a replacement.

Btw, what will be the max mintage declared for the first 3 2015-P puck AND how many actually sold? Which is the favorite design for this year?

Note: I had a blend of -P and bullion pucks for 2014 (at least 1 of either bullion or -P for each designs). I am regretting not getting more of the 2014 Arch design.
