bullion mintage hasn't been over 45k since 2011

I read that somewhere fox. Haven't actually done the hard numbers and it hasn't been anything like 2011 but the article said every other year was a lower mintage relative to the year before it and vice versa. When I get a second I'll check the mintages. Maybe I'm remembering it wrong

I would not be so quick to relinquish those tubes yet, Fox. Just wait and see if the remaining Shawnee is minted. I really doubt they have nearly 800 monster boxes ready to go in inventory. I guess they are finally reckoning these coins by design instead of just merely bullion. Personally I think they will sell about 60K and then the rest of the numbers will languish as no AP wants to tie up liquidity on something that doesn't sell. The humongous miscalculation by the APs in May 2011 meant when they bought out Gettysburg and Glacier in under two weeks they paid something like $240 a coin. And have been selling them in drips and drabs for less than half since then. Last year was the first year in the series that each of the designs sold out before the next one came out.

Edit--on the other hand, 30K burnished pucks means I can cancel my subscription if the costs stays at the $149.95 level. There will be no hurry to get this year's pucks since we've gone back to the levels of 2011 and 2013.

Just my thoughts but:

They WILL sell the full 120k bullion pucks before moving on to the next issue

They WILL NOT sell anywhere near 30k P pucks for obvious reasons...(history, price)

..and burnished pucks in 2011 were in the 17-24k range...decent totals and similar (or lower) than present day

There will be plenty of P pucks to go around this year. I guess I don't need to be ready at the trigger at noon for the Teddy P puck.

For bullion, yeah. For P-Pucks, silver price won't matter as the price is still $150 for these guys. It won't matter, that is, as long as it stays below $20. Otherwise it's just the higher mintage that will likely drive sales down, IMO.
