Quote: We were visiting Charlston once and the place we were going to stay was not very clean so while we were able to see the fort from the mainland never made it there. Someday! For the record, Fort Moultrie is on Sullivan's Island and you can drive right up to it. Fort Sumter is in the harbour and is accessed by a thirty minute ferry ride.

Thanks. I thought it was by Fort Sumter from what I read a while ago.

Quote:Bret - you could probably find empty OGP capsules on ebay. I haven't looked personally but I know you can get all kinds of other OGP for cheap after TPGs return it to the submitter. What I'd like to do is buy the ATB bullion presentation boxes that the mint is selling. http://catalog.usmint.gov/american-...oxes#start=1How they think they're going to sell many without the capsules is beyond my understanding. Then again, we're talking about the government. I have not found anyone on ebay selling just the OGP capsules. Even it they did, I'd be afraid of them being contaminated. Someone is making them for the mint. It just seems odd that we don't see them elsewhere.

Quote: Thanks. I thought it was by Fort Sumter from what I read a while ago. They are relatively close (separated by about a mile of water), but you cannot get to one from the other. There are only two ways to get to Fort Sumter, a ferry by the Aquarium and another across the river at Patriots Point. (Another place well worth visiting over and over again!) I cannot count how many times I have been to Fort Moultrie, but have only been to Fort Sumter twice.

Looks like the Teddy bullion puck is done at 35,200 which is the lowest of the year so far. They have already cranked out 24,800 of the Ft. Moultrie so I doubt they will strike more Teddy's
It seems that the first issue of the year is the highest mintage and they decrease with every succeeding issue...Shawnee was the biggie at 105,000, CG at 75,000 and HF at 36,800
Let's see what FM has in store but that will depend on when 2017 #1 is released

I guess maybe they are attempting to sell each years offerings during the year struck. I haven't checked the P version sold lately.

Next trip to sc will include these parks. We really like to visit our national parks and historic sites. I know they have all different designations but all!

Mt Pleasant, which is right next to Charleston (across the river). You can get a ferry to Fort Sumter from there as well.

Thank you! Good to know. It's like visiting the Statue of Liberty. You can get a ferry from NYC but ever so much easier to go from Liberty state park in NJ!
