Yes you're probably right. The 2013 silver quarters are I guess at 41.99. But I think part of the reason why they went up a couple yrs ago was because spot was higher. Oh well

Now the $64K question: when does the bullion come in? APMEX and Provident don't have updated pages yet and the next P coin is in just two weeks. It is a repeat of 2011, when the first 4 2010 coins were squeezed out 3 weeks apart and $100 more @ $279.95! How times have changed from those days of $48/oz Ag.

And...who likes the $150 bullion over the $180 collector version?

Wow, fast furious on the P pucks again. I hope my wallet is ready to take a pounding :-) The bullion pucks should be coming out already, I'm surprised they are not for sale yet. I am sure you will see them soon enough. I will be in for one of each of the bullion and P pucks, just wish they could have spread it out better. It will be another interesting year as far as final mintage goes on these coins.

@Teach,
Hope the "five-year" plan that's being distributed internally at the Mint deals with the spacing of releases issue. I don't know what the hold up was this year, perhaps it was to wait for the silver price to justify the previously announced price of $245? At $180, I think they will try to make more than 15K, perhaps around 20-22K this year, as surely they heard the sour grapes after Volcanoes was sold out and doubled in price almost overnight. The bullion will also see a similar increase also perhaps to 25-28K. It was a tough lesson to learn but at least they see the mistakes made in each of the 2010, 2011, & 2012 runs.

@Bizy,
I have learned one thing about the mint, they seem to do whatever they want to do. We will never truly understand their moves and why they make them. I'm sure they have some hidden logic we are not privy to and they will roll out coins as they see fit. Personally I think they were playing the waiting game with the silver prices and the left over Chaco P puck. Silver has dropped and become stable and now they need to rush out the Chaco P puck to begin sales for the 2013 pucks before it drags further into the year. With the new prices, I agree there will be some new players moving in and the mintage will increase depending on costs going forward. A high swing in silver upwards could throw the whole thing into a mess again. We shall see.

angel - it woudn't surprise me at all. The lower price on the 2012 dollar set caused it to sell out early this morning. I did order the Chaco yesterday once they lifted the hold and have an in stock reserved status.

Those 2012 $$ were a good deal as well but I can't buy everything! Might be finished with the 2012 5 oz before they start selling the 2813. The 2011 were for sale until Dec 2012. Seems they cut way back on the 2012 which sold out fast except the first 2 that did have more. They were at the 204 price as well so we shall see what happens at 179 95. With silver shortages elsewhere, these 5 oz may go quicker esp if the Mint doesn't increase the number produced (from the last 3 )

Wow... Walletshock '13 starts in a couple short weeks. Woof! Seems like an annual thing these days.

Only good thing for us is that Ag tanked. We're still paying a hefty premium but $180 per 5oz is WAY better than what we paid for Hot Springs. Anyone remember that ridiculousity? I hammered on my keyboard for 3 hours for the privilege of paying $280! Oy!

Hey CelticKnot, let's not talk about the Hot Springs days......LOL $180 will be a lot easier on the wallet, we'll see how long that price will last.

I think it will last unless silver is up over 31 again. But just my opinion.
