So, I'm 8 coins away from filling out my type set. What a crunch!

The coins below are what I was able to come up with this year. I welcome any feedback and criticism. I want to learn more about the hobby, so let me have it. I know that several of my coins have been cleaned, but it is really hard for me to tell on most of them.

Also, some of these were probably bad buys while some were certainly steals. None of my coins were marketed as being varieties, so whether I did a good job of picking or if I got lured into purchases by thinking I was getting a pick... I'm not so sure! Prices are what I paid, including shipping.

Thanks for looking!

(Purchased the 1832, 1853 Half Cents and the Silver Three Cent for $200 combined)

1810 Large Cent - $31 ebay - I think this coin was overlooked because of the die grease being mistaken as wear. All features seem to be sharp.

1832 Half Cent - Cohen 3: The obverse is great, sharp but has been cleaned? The reverse is weak and muddy.

1858 Flying Cent - Traded labor hours

1959 IH - 20.00 - Bought from an overpriced dealer whose brain I would frequently pick. You know how that goes.

1908-S IH - $75 - Fine to VF? LIBERTY visible, but worn.

1862/1 Silver Three Cent - Looks like it has Machine Doubling, but is the 62/1 variety.

1883 Shield 5c - $60 - Bad color, a bit of grime, but this thing seems perfect. No scratches, no wear, the field with the 5 is flawless. Thinking this coin is probably worth a restoration. Under loupe VERY nice.

1837 Half Dime Small Date - I think $50 - Umm, did this come out of a Cracker Jack Box? Looks and feels like a toy. Not sure if that is original luster and it seems to have been in a bezel with 4 rim dings.

1887 S/S Greer 102 CONECA RPM2 Dime - $60

1937 D Buffalo nickel $5 - High AU I would say.

1875 S/S Twenty Cent Piece - $300: While louping this coin for purchase, I noticed the S/S... but it wasn't marked as such and the dealer didn't mention it. In considering the purchase, I realized that there was a chance the RPM may command no premium. So, I offered my high price of $300 thinking the coin would be worth around that regardless of the RPM. After thinking about it for quite some time, the dealer accepted the offer. He had $439 marked on the coin, which I knew was WAY overkill. The eagle is just bursting off of this coin. I love it. :D

1853 25c Arrows & Rays - $100 ebay - The past couple weeks I have purchased a couple coins from ebay for the first time. I have to say, I'm not so impressed. But I bought this coin for the reverse, which has fantastic detail but the tone is off. Not sure what is up with this coin.

1854 25c - $65 - Looks like a decent coin to me at the price.

1877 25c - $40 - My first Seated Liberty quarter, I purchased this the same time as the Bust Half.

1832 50c - $40 - Score?!

I also have an 1852 Gold Dollar graded MS60 by ANACS I bought for 200 bucks, but can't get a good scan of it. Seems there is a die clash on the obverse of the wreath on the reverse, so I need to do some research on this coin.

I like your collection very good job. I really admire your 1883 shield. I was poking at the idea of getting one this week, instead I picked up a 1853 Half Dime. Oh by the way, did I read it correct that you picked up a 1832 50C for $40.00 if you did that was a score !
