I took a diffuser from a flourescent light and cut it then taped the edges together to form a rectangle big enough to go over the microscope and stand then set another piece on the top. This takes away the glare from the lights.

As for grade I would think VF

Thank you for your opinions. Not a bad pickup for $9 then.

Yes I have experimented with a few things to try and control the glare. It is a Celestron 44302-A and the lights are non-adjustable. I'll try the fluorescent light diffuser idea.
