I have a golden-colored penny which looks real besides the color and a splotch roughly the size of New Hampshire in the upper right hand corner of the front (with NH written inside vertically, top to bottom!). Please help.

Do the best with whatever is at your disposal. Pictures are invaluable for assessing what you have. getting good quality pics is a learning process. Don't get discouraged, and welcome again to the forum.

Sounds like a science experiment penny with a counter stamp. Maybe it's even plated!

Well I did get it from a friend who's a science teacher. By the way I cant find it. I lost it, found it, lost it, found it, and lost it again (maybe, I think, even one more time).

There's your answer....It's a common Magician's disappearing penny. You have to keep it in the "disappear prevention envelope" it came in otherwise it will be hard to keep track of........
