I seen on here how,People make the date come out with vinegar or something. can not find where I seen it,Can anyone explain how this works on a shinny Bufflo nickel,with no date, looks wore off to me

Do a search on the forum,there are countless threads on the subject,Basically, you just soak them in white vinegar as long as it takes to make the date appear..sometimes it takes weeks.

Does the vinger make the coin look restored? I just nic-a-date them and *poof*, date is there in a couple minutes...

You can tell- here's an example that I recently "restored." This was completely smooth, with no date, and I left it in white vinegar for like, two days. Notice how the date looks like bubble letters, even on a very worn coin, the outline of the date will be much more sharp than this. Personally, I think it's fun. Hope this helps
