I read somewhere on the forum that there are varietys of this date, or overdates? The date appears off to me, as I have checked several on the net. Could someone verify this..?

And could someone grade this nice coin for me please

Oh btw, I saw on ebay that this is referrad as a US Colonial Coin... I have heard strange things on ebay, so could someone verify this also?

In my book for over-dated 1837s farthings it says "7 over indeterminate digit". I don't see anything "under" that 7. The whole legend on your coin is worn pretty flat and the date is consistent with that.

As for "US colonial farthing of early America" I believe it's just a gimmick to inflate interest of uninformed US collectors; by that time British coppers were not in the regular circulation in the states.
