Just got the coin today, I don't think my pictures do it justice. I will try to take some better pictures when I have time. I am not sure why these ones look so blurry. In my opinion, the coin is definitely PL

So, does this one make an MS-65?
I am still on the fence

Looks at least a high end MS-64 PL and close to DMPL if not there already but like you I am not sure if it will make MS-65. I see some chatter on the face but I can't quite make out how much. A brighter photo would help. MS-65 or not, you sure have one nice coin!

Thanks D0ubl3Eagle,
I just took some more pictures now, I should have them cropped and posted within the next ten minutes.

Here are my second set of pictures, much better than my first ones (in my opinion) buy still slightly blurry. *Click the Images for Full Size

What a tremendous coin. There are technically enough marks to make 65 debatable, but they're in non-prominent locations. I think it would make 65PL; you have to decide if it's DMPL on your own because that would be almost impossible to image.
These are not uncommon for 1879-S. Its' value probably approaches $300.

Thanks again for your opinions, I just checked the coin again and think that it is a strong PL but would not make DMPL.

Based on the new photos I would say this is a solid MS65PL

What would a realistic value be on this coin? I am looking on ebay, and have noticed that coins graded by PCGS and NGC as MS-65PL are anywhere from $267 to $350

Maybe 30% back of the 64 prices.
