Think I got the Gallienus Sol: RIC 249 Rome, Sol running left, holding whip with right hand raised, Z to left.

Obv: GALLIENVS AVG
REV: ORIENS AVG

All the attributions are correct with a couple of notable exceptions.

First the disagreement over the Domitian coin. I'm not convinced it is RIC 238. I'm still thinking RIC 921.

Second, No one has attributed the Julia Domna yet. It's not that hard.

Third, the Gratian is correct as a RIC 14c, but the mintmark is DSISCV,

Good job. You guys made me think a little, especially on the Conatantine II

the only one that I could find that is similar is RIC 590[carac]v Julia Domna AE Sestertius. Struck under Caracalla, AD 213. Diademed, draped bust right / SAECVLI FELICITAS S--C, Felicitas standing left, sacrificing from patera over altar & holding long caduceus

It's a Denarius and the figure on the reverse is holding a short caduceus and a long scepter. See if that helps.

...couldn't decide on anything to get me for Christmas, so they offered to pay for the next $200 worth of coins...

Thats a much better idea than getting $200 worth of stuff you didn't need / want, also your kids get a surprise when they see what they got you.

Reminds me of when I was a teenager - my dad used to give me two options for Christmas, I could have pre-Christmas priced surprises that I might not like or an envoploe full of cash to spend in the January sales, I always went for the later.

Your boys got you some nice coins

yes! I'm getting better. By the way I've been reading the RIC volumes and if I lived back then I dont konw if I would want to have my face on a coin because look what happened to all them. They where all killed in wars or beheaded as soon as someone else took power or turned on by their own armies and killed. Its very interesting reading about all the history. I have totally lost all my interest in the modern coins not that I want to take away anything from them because I have been in to US coins for a while and still like to use my knowledge to help others. But these coins are very very fascinating and the dies where hand made so they are works of art also.

Thanks bobbyhelmet, but they're not done yet. I have only spent half of my allotted amount. I like all the coins, obviously, or I wouldn't have gotten them. But no one has commented on the shipwreck coin. That one has my curiosity peaked. It may turn out to be junk, but I'm anxiously waiting to find out.

On a different note, I will be leaving my abode tomorrow morning and travelling to Virginia to be with my two son's over Christmas. I'm not sure how much I'll be in touch over the next week. They have their computers, but I suspect we'll be spending a lot of family time together. I don't get to see either of them enough. Anyway, just in case I don't have the chance after today, I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kawanza, or just Happy Holidays.
