Got one in the other day, so in between flooring and plumbing I was anxious to see what this antique could do...Now mind you I> just moved and I am still shooting on wings of a prayer, as I don't really have a desk to shoot off of, one shaky tripod tried a dollar and then a coll toned penny I found on the floor...the penny is too dark but the lens shows its stuff...

Looks pretty good, just a bit more light on the Cent and it will be very nice! Here's the pic with a little D-Lighting adjustment...

So Gene...what lens did you get for $1.00 ? This is greatly supporting my assertion that you don't have to spend much to get good results, though you took it to an extreme! ...Ray

Ray I Had been looking for a 105MM lens or a 135MM for dollar shots, I put a bid on an ebay item, a 105MM Telesar Anastigmat
1:4.5 lens to save it to my files for review...I had read earlier on the telesar type lenses but couldn't remember much about them, but won the auction....The first thing I noticed was the image was noticeably sharper in both the center and edges, than other lenses I have been using.. My 75MM Radagon APO didn't come with the outer barrel housing the Blades, I might try to make a fixed F/stop hole and see if it helps/ differences from wide open to half open (F/8 simulation) and see what happens....
heres the same coin with different lighting though your D-lighting did a great job!

overall quality of the lens?opinions...Thanks...G
