I recently acquired an American Arts Commemorative coin that is a 1980 Marian Anderson. From what I've looked on google, it's a half ounce of gold. But did they make fake ones? How can I tell if it's real? What's the value?

If it helps the medal you have mentioned is listed in the Red Book with a photo. Page 405 on my 2009 Red Book.
