And you did not bid on it? How can you pass up this deal? $800 sure seems like a stellar deal considering this is the first half dollar commemorative. Don't be fooled by the fact that they readily sell in the $15 range when circulated. This one has to be special. After all you have the guarantee of the seller that it will go up in value. What more could you want?

In all seriousness, why does ebay allow this type of stupidity?
Rest in Peace

I thought that was interesting also since (as far as I know) there were no proofs of these coins produced.
Rest in Peace

Didja ever wonder if some people list items like this just for our entertainment? There ain't no way that this coin is gonna sell at all, let alone for $800. It's gotta be a joke or else the seller needs some serious mental attention, a little numismatic education, and a much better camera or scanner.

Not sticky OR smelly?!?!?! How did I miss this one! I wish I would have seen it while it was still active. I am so tired of getting nothing but sticky, smelly coins for my collection!

There was an auction running around the same time as this one for a top-tier graded MS65 (or might have been 66) with a starting bid of $350 and a BIN of $800. I think that's why he thought his was worth so much. I can't find the link to that auction now.
