Your coin does appear to be late Roman. Need to see both sides of the coin and if you can a bit larger picture before it can be IDed.

It appears to be Constantine the Great, one of the crested-helmet types. Can;t tell more thn that without seeing the other side.

Definitely Constantine I, reverse type VIRTVS EXERCIT (Valour of the Army), two captives sitting at base of standard inscribed VOT XX. Mintmark AQP (Aquileia mint). Something like this example on Wildwinds.
