Was the weight used based on a "copper" or "zinc" penny?

oih82w8...I wonder what the weight would be, because there are 1940's steel pennys in the mix...correct...?

No need to be sorry! I was just pointing out that is has been discussed a few times over the years. No problem bringing it up again. I included the links to the previous posts so anyone/everyone could see what was discussed before.

this was pretty fun. I love the visuals
This reminded me something I learned in one of my college english classes.
We were working on presentations and good ideas you can use while doing public speaking. Hearing just a number is hard for people to grasp. If I were to say the number 70 thousand, people would know it was a large number, but if I was in my home town speaking, Buffalo NY, I could use the reference of "thats around the number of people present at a Buffalo Bills home sell out" It helps people grasp the numbers.
Fun little bit of info for anyone out there lol
thanks for the link

wert-- the 1,000 page specifies that their numbers are based on zinc cents. I'd expect that being all based on a simple mathematic formula they'd probably not switch that variable mid-stream...
