I recently aquired this medal in a foreign coin lot. Its dated 1969 and commemorates the 200th anniversary of the founding of san diego. I was wondering if anyone knew anything about it, composition, issuer, value ect. It sounds and looks like its made of silver and is about the same size as a US large size dollar coin.

Thanks,
XoG

I did a net search on it and there are at least 3 others that are called medals, but none look like yours.

You could try a coin club in that area and they might know. Here is one in San Diego:

Maybe a local coin club had them made back then? It is a long shot, but worth a try.
