HI there,

Regarding ebay Item #110803302183

http://www.ebay.com/itm/110803302183?ru=http://www.ebay.com:80/sch/i.html%3F_from=R40&_trksid=p137.m570.l1313&_nkw=110803302183&_sacat=See-All-Categories&_fvi=1&_rdc=1

Just wanted to ask you something, in "your" opinion,

- how much does such a piece worth in the market?

- Is it over-priced?

Much appreciate your feedback

Cheers

Well here is my opinion on it.

I would never have bid on it. Without a full scan of each side, its hard to know if it is genuine. My catalogs don't even show a specimen note was made (but it could have been).

If I was the person selling, I would have had it graded first. If it is as rare as it seems to be, ebay wouldn't be my 1st,2nd,3rd etc choice of venues to sell it.

It would be hard to determine market value if none have been offered. Same with if it is overpriced. If it is the only known one, the price could be many times the sale price. Without past auction sales it would be hard to determine it

As the winning bidder of this note, kaydees1, I thought I should comment on your question. I have been collecting for over 50 years and was a dealer for 35. I have have most of the rarities at one time or another. At the present I only Collect Korea and South Korea Coins and Currency. This not was graded by PCGS as Choice New 63 Apparent with notes on Paper Clip rust stain on Face and Back.
This is a very hard note to fine in a AU or UNC condition in regular issue. As a SPECIMEN not it is almost impossible to find. The Korean Coin and Currency Catalog list this note in UNC at $7,000, $4,000 in AU, and $2,000 in XF. I think I got a very good deal for $3,050.
I wish I could fine this note in AU or UNC regular issue for the same price.

@kaydee,

WOW! It's amazing after these months I come to know the buyer of this piece!

I'm looking as well for such a piece in XF or AUN and so far no luck!

As you stated, it's hard to find in such a condition!

Nice to meet you, though

And please, next time when such a piece is being auctioned/offered in XF or AUN leave it for me (am pretty sure that you'd NEVER missed such a chance!)

Cheers
