Morning all.

I'm downsizing my coin collection from years ago and in advance of that I need to find out some information on a number of coins that I have never really known anything about.

As a starting point, the first three coins are Arabic and believed to be medallion coinage rather than currency.

Neither a Google search nor a close look in the 2010 World Coin Guide have revealed any information on these specific coins and I was hoping as a long shot that some of you might have some knowledge of Arabic coinage or perhaps at least be able to translate the wording on the coins in order for me to expand my search criteria.

Here goes:-

Large Gold Medals 50 mm wide / 50g weight

Saudi-Arabian-Coins-Dated-2.11.64
Saudi-Arabian-Coins-Dated-2.11.64

Small Gold Medal 30mm wide / 14g weight

Saudi-Arabian-Coins-Dated-2.11.64
Saudi-Arabian-Coins-Dated-2.11.64

Small Silver Medals 30mm wide

Saudi-Arabian-Coins-Dated-2.11.64

If any of you are able to identify these coins for me then it would be very much appreciated. I would of course also be interested to know what their approximate value might be.

Thanks in advance.

David.

Many thanks for the reply mass.

I have 'Google Searched' extensively over the past few days with regard to identifying these coins and have not managed to obtain a single search result specific to any of then. Given the importance of the occasion that they commemorated back in the day, I am quite surprised by the lack of information on the internet.

Does anybody have any other clues please?

Unfortunately, these pieces do not have any reference known.
and the issuer is not known.

There are letters in English between the dates at the bottom in the first image.
Possible to write more clearly.
maybe that the mark or sign for something help who minted it.

Hi mass,

Thanks for getting back to me on this. Your comment with regard to the 'English letters' between the coin date is noted. Being the poor photographer that I am, the English letters that you mention above don't appear to be very clear at all in the photo that I have provided of the coin for the purpose of this thread.

I will take another look at the coin/medal in detail this evening (UK time). Whilst doing so, I will also try to take a more detailed photo of that particular area of the coin, which I will post up on this thread by close of play today.

Thanks again for your assistance.

David.

This is just a follow up to my previous post. Apologies for the delay in providing the additional photo - I will post a picture up within the next 12 hours when I have access to a camera with macro abilities.

K. Hadis- probably the designer. Coronation medal or Commemorative medal for coronation- I don't know if they are official. They are not in any of my references either.

Hi,

Sorry for the delayed reply (it has been a busy week for me). I was unable to photograph the elglish letters clearly, but when I magnified the coins I could see the letters clearly. The english text reads 'K.Habib'on both the gold and the silver coins.

Any ideas please?

Have any of you any ideas on the coins now that I have identified the text as 'K.Habib' please? - certainly Google does not seem to regognize the name, but hopefully some of you might.

Hope to hear from some of you.

Thanks,

David.
