It's very interesting to see these, I'd never seen them before. If I came across one of these pieces (both of your threads) I wouldn't even think they were coins. The Eros one, for sure, I'd dismiss as a love token.

Andy Lustig had a couple of very nice Mexico Republic minors in AU/MS in his display case @ NYINC. These are much scarcer than people realize in great condition.

The nice ones go for BIG bucks. Even the lower grades have appreciated. Five years ago you could pick up meduim grade States Coppers for $2-10, now they are 10x that, which is why I am no longer pushing hard on a date set :-)
