So today I pulled out my little bowl of pennies. This Bowl is full of pennies that I come across while searching penny rolls loose change and whats given to me. Non of them were bought. As a side note I only searched through about 50-60$ worth of pennies so its not a LARGE amount.

So this is a Bar Graph of the years I got and showing the amount in each year. I was kind of curious to see what dates came up the most and such and which dates are the hardest to find. Plus is this graph indicative to there actual rarity or mintage. Please let me know as I'm not anywhere near an expert on the key dates for this time frame. I usually don't keep very many past 1967 (they go into by copper hoard. :P )

At any rate enjoy.

Ahh I missed '41 DOH. ah well its missing anyway. :P

Pretty interesting chart. It is great to see that there are that many old cents still floating around in circulation.

If you are hoarding copper, why not save everything up to 1996. The coins are all 98% copper until then.

Hey Timnic, yeah I do anything from 1968-1996 goes in.

And yeah coin, what was interesting to me was the low between '48-'50 then it all jumps up alot in '51 - '53 :P most likely coincidence.

Well I go through approx 5 boxes a week and this is what I have found. 1954 and 1939 and older is usually the hardest to find followed by 1948 I have at least 2 rolls of each year. 1957 and up are the most common years. Hope that helps.
