Hi All,

I recently inherited a small cache of older coins, which has rekindled my interest in collecting. I'm currently in the process of learning to grade by uses the RedBook, sites like pcgs photograde, and of course this site.

It would be very helpful though to get the opinions of more experienced collectors. As such, I've attached a couple of scans of some coins I have. I would appreciate any opinions as to grade.

I apologize as I know these aren't terribly rare or exciting coins, but I guess I have to start somewhere.

I'll give it a shot and say the 1943 EF-40 and the 1942 is VF-20.
But wait and see what other say.
Nice coins and good luck with your collection.
Rest in Peace

My rule of thumb is the thinner she looks the higher the grade.
1943 VF35 (reverse holds it back some)
1942 VF20

I would go VF-30 on the 1943 and F-15 on the 1942.
