More specifically, a billon (extremely-debased silver) antoninianus of emperor Claudius II (ruled AD 268-270). It doesn't have a date on it, but archaeological evidence suggests the coin was struck in the later half of his reign (AD 269-270). That would make it around 1,740 years old. The coin is listed in the Sear catalogue of Roman coins (as number 11362); the price given there for this coin is $18 in VF. This example in the Wildwinds database sold for $30 in 2005.
