Stumped - Ferdinand & Isabella Shield?

I broke my rule of spending more than 2 hours trying to identify a coin. Been through several Spanish books trying to identify this one. The shield appears to be Ferdinand and Isabella but the other side of the coin really has me stumped. Beginning to think it might be like one of our hobo nickels where someone engraved an old Ferdinand and Isabella piece. Coin weighs 2.23 grams (may have been clipped?)

Any help / ideas are appreciated.

It's from Sicily. Ferdinand the Catholic 1479-1516.
