It's very good to see these and familiarize myself with "the look" I see on many.
That worn Marcus Aurelius AE in row 5 might fool me at first glance.

Ah, now I see the "WRL" on the neck. On the first image I thought it was a countermark. For sure a copy!

As for Polinka, I know exactly what it is. Plum brandy. I've been snokered more then once on that stuff. All of our hosts want to have us try their own homemade polinka. Of course everyone says theirs is the best. I was more then a little drunk one evening when my host and I were having a discussion about the Romans. He said that Romanians are the ones who taught the Romans Latin. Of course, he was more then drunk himself. You have a beautiful country and I find the Romanians to be delightful and friendly.

The one on the left was pretty obvious; the right more is more obvious now with larger pics--thanks!

Thats the reason it took me so long to start collecting ancients but now its much easier to spot "replicas". I guess the only way is to get more experience with the real deal so you know what to expect, even though sometimes even the experts can get tricked. I have found a couple dealers that I mostly buy from now and will probably stick with. Thanks for posting!
