I just started and have been getting a box here and there. Now I'm going to be looking to get much more, hence the initial post.

I'm doing it for the copper. I've been pulling out the wheats as I've been doing it by hand, but I figure with the machine I'll just let it sort the copper and leave it at that.

I have found in about 9 boxes so far (3) in the teens and (1) 1908 Indian Head.
Rest in Peace

No intrensic value in the new ones, right?

No real metal premium, but lots of people are having a hard time getting new coins. Sell them here or on ebay.

Eyeluvcoins,

I have not run into a box of only newer pennies yet and I've gotten a bunch of boxes, but I hear they will be around when the 2012's come out in a month or two. My brinks boxes have about 25% to 30% copper and I get a lot more wheats in them than I do in CWR's. I get both boxes and CWR's and the boxes tend to be more consistant. CWR's can be real hit or miss. I have had 4 rolls of pure copper, but have also run into what must have been someone elses dump with no copper.

i pickup $100 of pennies every week. the tellers order them for me. as for returning the pennies, I reroll and exchange for next $100. have been averaging one wheat per roll. find alot of canadian cents and dimes. most of the rolls have 3 to 5 extra pennies. lately have been running into alot of AU wheats and larege amounts of teens. hope this helps

I have searched many boxes. Coinstar offers a fee free gift card to Amazon or jc penny among other places. That has worked for me.

Well, I went from bank to bank, one box at a time. Eventually I collected 6 new mint boxes:( I walked into a main boa branch and asked them if I could trade all 6 mint for 6 old and they said yes. So 6.

It always helps if you can pickup up the order the same day the bank receives it. Whenever I place a big order,I have the teller call and I'll go to pick it up right away. This way no one is inconvenienced and they don't have to put the coins in the vault. I've never had any problems doing this.
