I was telling a buddy at work about my reintroduction to coins. Since he was interested, I challenged him to go with me to the bank and get a few nickel and dime rolls to see who can find the best coin. I may have converted him now that he pulled a 36 Buffalo today!

That's great, now you'll have to introduce him to CCF.

Noah I think he meant a '36 buff not 36 of them.

36 buffs would be amazing to find though

Sorry for the confusion. Yes...he only found one (a 1936). If he found 36 of them in $10 of rolls, I would have some severe resentment!!

Day 3 and the jerk won again! I was mildly enthused about the 1966 Bahamas 5 cent piece in one of my rolls when my buddy found two War Nickels! Not cool. I'm down 0-3.

Today was day four. Goldeneagle - we're each getting $10 in dimes and $10 in nickels. I am sorry to say that this lucky SOB won again. My best two were a 40P nickel and 52D nickel. He pulled a 53 dime.

To make it official, I crafted these rules. Let me know what you think:
Winner is the one that pulls this, in order of significance:
- 1996 W dime
- Anything pre-1900
- Mercury dime
- Silver Rosey
- Buffalo nickel
- 1939 D Nickel
- 1950 D Nickel
- War Nickel
- 2009 Nickel

In the event of tie (such as both get Mercuries, oldest wins. If date the same, condition wins.

Would you change the order? Add anything?

You probably want to put the Nickel Key dates above the silver dimes. I've found many, many more silver dimes than nickel key dates....

Let him gloat all he wants. You've converted someone and that's all that counts.

It's all in fun, Libertad. We're on hiatus as he is out this week. I got a practice round in today, though. I got three more nickels for the books I started and a 53D silver Roosevelt. With that I feel my luck has turned and I will be ready to take him on again when we're back at it.
