Hello,
I have an 1853 or 1855 seated liberty with two arrows on either side of the date. On the reverse side there is only one large ornate "U". Does anyone have any idea to what it could be? Help would be appreciated..

Pics would certainly help but it sounds like you may have a "love token". Does the "U" look hand engraved?

, larensmum1999!
What denomination? Dimes are the commonest love tokens.

Yes the "U" is very ornate and after two hours of hunting, you guys answered my question. It is infact a Love token. Thanks so much!
