mysilveryears Pillar of the Community United States 1888 Posts	Posted 01/27/2012 10:38 am I have a dank, nasty east coast basement thanks to hurricane so-and-so awhile ago. If the condition of the tools stored down there are any indication, I would never store a coin in such an environment or submit it to those conditions. I will leave it to others to answer the question of whether or not 96% humidity and black mold can create rainbow toning on a silver coin. It seems to render everything else made of metal a grossly dull dark brown. Report this Post to the Staff
