I have had this bill since I was 14 years old...1976 when it came out. I have many 1976 Bicen $2 bills that I acquired at the same time, but this one has always stood out because of the LARGE star on the right side of the bill.
All star note jokes aside, how in heck did this large STAR get on the bill? It is the same coloring as other parts of the bill. It is crisp UNC condition and if was done after leaving the BEP, was done quickly and passed back into circulation when my parents got it from the bank.
I have been very curious for many years and am looking for someone on this forum to come up with an answer. THANKS!
