Picked these up today and the local coin shop. Paid a little more than I should have, but I liked them.

Both coins are great and I would welcome either into my collection (depending on price of course). Congrats.

Both coins look about the same grade but that is exceptional for the Maximinus and less so for the Hadrian. Nice bold detailed bronzes are not all that easy to find without paying 'too much'.

Both are great coins echizento.

I wish there was a coin shop here that had these kinds of ancients.

There are three shops here, one carries no ancients, one has about half a dozen worn Romans and a couple of black widows mites and the other has a box of culls. (to be fair he has two nice coins, a denarius and an obol, but they are both high on the fake list so I'm leery about them).

I may well be the only one in this city who collects ancient coins.

I wish the Hadrain was a little better, I bought it for the reverse while not rare I didn't have that reverse. The Maximinus looks much better in hand with a deep rich brown patina.

I think I'm the only one in my area that collects ancients. He has very few at the shop and has had these for some time but wanted too much for them. I was finally able to work a deal with him today.

Every time I see Maximinus' chin, I start wondering if Jay Leno is one of his descendants.

These coins originally came from the Littleton Coin Company. Guess they have an ancient coin department, I always thought they sold low grade US and foreign coins.

I have a very nice three ring binder from Littleton made for Ancients. The title on the side is "Coins of the Ancient Roman Empire" Look it up. It's a nice binder.
