Here is a 1992 cent with what appears to be die cracks running from both sides of the coin. Both cracks are running from the corners on the top of the building. The one on the left side actually runs along and into the "I" in UNITED.

Any thoughts on what a coin with these errors on it would bring.

Hi OrDirtDevil

Die cracks on the Lincoln Cent are very very common and do not add any value to the coin.

But If your like me the coin will never again be in circulation !! I keep all such coins just because I like them .

In fact I am working on assemling a collection of lincoln cents all with die cracks,, I may never complete it but I enjoy doing it !!

Yeah, same here Metalman. My collecting freinds think its a waiste of time to search through rolls of cents for errors such as die cracks, mech. doubling ect. Most look for old silver in rolls of quarters, dimes and halves.

Find wise I suppose it a wash with silver vs Errors. I seem to find a few more then they do but then again I search 500 for every $10 vs their 20 halves. Keep me out of trouble and I lok my error coins. Nothing to speak of yet but I have about 15 error pennies the last couple of months.

My coin buddy had a heck of a find last week thou. Went to the bank and asked the cashier if he had any loose halves and any rolls. The man pulled to $10 worth of 64s some one just cashed in. He got two rolls and found a 58 and 48 mexican. All I found was the mech double and die cracked building. I guess we were both pleased.
