Salonina Obv: CORN SALONINA AVG Rev: CONCORDIA AVGG RIC 63, Antioch Tetricus I (paid an incredible $3 for it ) Obv: IMP TETRICVS PF AVG REV: LAETITIA AVGG N RIC 90 var, (couldn't find the mint: if anyone can help, I'd appreciate it) Valentinian III (small and maybe insignificant-looking to most of you, but one of my favorite pickups actually ) Obv: DN VALENTINIANVS PF AVG REV: VICTORIA AVGG, Victory advancing left with head right, trophy over shoulder in right hand, dragging captive with left, P in left field RIC 2133 var, Rome Constantinopolis city commemorative (some of you have seen this one already, but for those that haven't here it is) Obv: CONSTANTINOPOLIS Rev: Victory standing on prow, holding a scepter and leaning on shield, SMALB in ex RIC 64, Alexandria Jovian (should get in the mail soon) Obv: DN IOVIANVS PF AVG Rev: VOT dot V in wreath, ANTA in ex RIC 230, Antioch Also bought a 14 coin lot of semi-cleaned and semi-damaged Romans. Not exactly pretty coins, but hey some were attributable without cleaning (a couple of these I will be cleaning soon though): Procopius (another one you guys have seen recently) Obv: DN PROCOPIVS PF AVG Rev: REPARATIO FEL TEMP, CONS (can't see the last letter) in ex RIC 19, Constantinople Constantius Gallus (my first coin of him) Obv: DN CONSTANTIVS NOB CS Rev: FEL TEMP REPARATIO, SMKA in ex RIC 107, Cyzicus Constantius II Obv: DN CONSTANTIVS PF AVG Rev: FEL TEMP REPARATIO, BSIS zigzag in ex RIC 361, Siscia Constantius II Obv: CONSTANTIVS PF AVG Rev: VICTORIAE DD AVGGQ NN, SMTS epsilon in ex RIC 99, Thessalonika Valens Obv: DN VALENS PF AVG Rev: SECVRITAS REIPVBLICAE, TESA in ex RIC 18b, Thessalonika Gratian Obv: DN GRATIANVS PF AVG Rev: GLORIA ROMANORVM, TES in ex RIC 31, Thessalonika Also managed to attribute a Valentinian II victory dragging captive from Thessalonika but it's still soaking right now to get it a little cleaner, and also an Honorius from Nicomedia but I forgot to take photos of it. I just put the Constantius Gallus, the Constantius II two Victories, and the Valens in olive oil so I'll see how they turn out in a few days. VisigothKing Pillar of the Community United States 4778 Posts	Posted 02/06/2012 6:35 pm I just dunked the Procopius in. Based on how it looks in hand, I believe that only the reverse will improve. The obverse looks more like if it's corroded than just dirty. I could be wrong though, since, depending on how the coin looks, I am not the best when telling apart corrosion from dirt. And bobby, that number doesn't include the other unattributable ones I have, which brings the total number of Roman coins I have to around 92 I think!
