Interesting find while looking through my 1971's this morning. I haven't seen any 1971 D - DDR coins on the Coppercoins or Wexler site so I'm asking the community on this one. What do you think? MD or DDR

Thanks in advance for your help and responses.

Machine doubling.Note the "ONE" the "extra lettering" is to the right; on "CENT" it's below. On a doubled die it would follow the same pattern, either shifted in one direction or rotated.

Thank you both for your answers. DrDon, I was noticing the same on these so I wasn't too hopeful on the DDR. Interesting find anyways for a 71 D as I've never seen too much action on the reverse side of the coin before now.
Oh well, back at it. Thanks again.
