Dear all,

I will start posting coins pics I have taken in my musuem visits.Later on will post pics of my collection as I have little idea about most of the coins in it.Most of the images I post will be related to India.

I took the foll pic of mughal emperor Akbars gold mohur in british musuem.Did a lot of manipulation in GIMP.I have a canon SX130is camera.any tips on better photo taking with this particular camera appreciated.

Very true...Also unless you have a DSLR or similar with the lenses,the cabinet glass and lighting plays havoc with the photo.I have this problem magnified when I try to take pics of sculptures behind glass cabinets.

I never heard of GIMP...have you tried Irfanview, it is quite good, easy for beginners, but powerful. With it you can adjust gamma, change color pallets, etc etc...nice photo!
