It's a reverse of 1879 but there are better ones out there. For a few dollars more you can get at least an AU example. This one has been scrubbed.

My opinion is it's only worth melt. If that price includes shipping it's ok because of the variety.
I assume if you are requesting opinions on collectible Morgans such as that 1893s and 1895o you are collecting Morgans not just silver. There are much nicer examples out there.

I collect all kinds of silver coins, the reason I'm buying american silver coins is because I can get them bellow melt, hard to find these days!

the price you mentioned isn't below melt. There are allot of 1878 with 1879 reverse in circulated grades out there that look allot better for around the same price range so if it were me I would hold off on this one as well. Spot price right now on a Morgan is around 26 bucks so that price is about 10 bucks more than spot would be. That being said its a little hard to get a Morgan under spot or sometimes its a little hard to get them at spot, so if you are just wanting to get something at spot this may not be the series to look at unless you are very patient

Yes, the reason I'm posting some of these coins is because I thought they would be key date and had a kittke more value! Allwaysnice to read your opinions!
