I usually do not buy individual coins online because I have coin shops with ancients in my area.

I have coin shops in the area, but none deal in Ancients. Once in a while, they come across one and let me have it for what I think they are worth. I am always honest with them about the value so that is why they give me a call.

I do buy on line, and I like to watch the various auctions including ebay. When I see something of interest and the price is right I have a tendency to jump in bidding, but I also set a budget and try my best not to exceed that budget. There have been times when I've gotten carried away with the bidding, but not often. You have to be disciplined and just say enough when you reach your budget. These two particular coins I had set my budget slightly higher than I paid, but I also bid on three other coins from this dealer that sold for over my budget. I would have loved winning them as well, but I hit my wall figuratively speaking.
